New Cochrane Field satellite in Switzerland: Cochrane Complementary Medicine Switzerland

The Institute for Complementary and Integrative Medicine, University Hospital Zurich and University Zurich, Switzerland is now a satellite of the Cochrane Complementary Medicine, one of the 11 Cochrane Fields. The Institute works on non-pharmacological complex interventions and is specialized in chronic medical conditions. It follows a biopsychosocial approach in preventing, treating and managing health problems.

The Institute is happy to share its experience from earlier systematic reviews with other research groups within and outside Cochrane. The team will investigate effect modifiers across treatments in complementary medicine. This includes the characteristics of patients and therapists and the treatment setting. It aims to better understand how such contextual factors contribute to treatment effects in a non-specific way. Cochrane Switzerland welcomes this new Cochrane group in Switzerland and looks forward to collaborating in the future.
