In cooperation with the Institute of Midwifery of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) we have translated 120 plain languages summaries of Cochrane reviews between November 2016 and December 2017. This was made possible by the financial support of Fondation Sana. All of these summaries are published in «Cochrane Kompakt», which now includes more than 1500 summaries in German. The translated summaries cover interventions during pregnancy and labour, as well as the health of newborns. A specific feature of this project was the translation of all 19 Cochrane reviews included in the Cochrane Library’s special collection «Enabling breastfeeding for mothers and babies». In Switzerland, the 120 Cochrane reviews are freely available thanks to the national license for the Cochrane Library.
