A national licence has enabled free access to the full texts of the Cochrane Library in Switzerland since 2016. This has now been extended until 2024. It allows free access to the more than 8,600 Systematic Cochrane Reviews and other resources with reliable and independent evidence on health-related issues.  The Swiss Academy of Sciences (SAMS), as well as the Federal Office of Public Health FOPH, the Swiss Medical Organisation FMH, university libraries and hospitals are the main funders.
