A resolution on rehabilitation will be adopted at this year's 76th World Health Assembly in Geneva. With this resolution, WHO member states will emphasise the important role of rehabilitation in universal health coverage, the large unmet global need, and the necessity to give more priority to rehabilitation in healthcare.

Cochrane is recognised as a non-governmental partner organisation by WHO and is an official member of the World Rehabilitation Alliance, which was launched in 2022 and is under the auspices of WHO. In support of the resolution, Cochrane Switzerland and Cochrane Rehabilitation have joined forces to co-organise a so-called "side event" on 25 May in Geneva during the ten-day assembly. It is hosted by the Permanent Representations of five Member States, several international organisations, professional associations and stakeholders, two WHO Collaborating Centres for Rehabilitation and the WHO Rehabilitation Programme.

Details of the side event and a link to register can be found here.
