The Biennial Report 2017 & 2018 is now online!Our activities during the past two years were aligned with the four main objectives in Cochrane’s “Strategy to 2020”: producing evidence, making evidence available, advocating for evidence and developing the organization. Our own strategic plan is consistent with this broader strategy while adjusting it to the healthcare setting in Switzerland and the resources available to our Associate Centre.

A new Cochrane Library Special Collection has been released: Reducing pain in infants, children, and adolescents. This Collection brings together the latest evidence for paediatric treatments for acute and chronic pain, to guide practice, policy, and funding.

La gomma contenente alte dosi di nicotina è più efficace di quella a piccole dosi (alta certezza). Alte dosi di nicotina probabilmente sono più efficaci anche nei cerotti (prove di certezza moderata).

It will also introduce text analysis techniques such as text mining to demonstrate their potential for developing and testing search strategies.

This week, for the first time, the Cochrane Colloquium will take place online. Anyone interested can take part in the virtual colloquium for free and without registration. The motto is "Embracing Diversity". Discussion will take place on various social media channels.

Cochrane Crowd is running a Challenge from 22.10 - 24.10.2019, even though the Cochrane Colloquium in Santiago de Chile has been canceled. The goal is to reach 20,000 classifications in 48 hours. Everyone is invited to participate. No matter in which country or how long you want to participate - every screened study counts! And there will also be a prize. So it's really rewarding to take part! It starts on Tuesday 22.

Meta-analysis: Advanced methods using the Stata software: 3-6 September 2019This 4-day course is dedicated to the statistical meta-analysis method, which is the key to quantitative data synthesis within the framework of a systematic review.
